The recent economic climate has motivated businesses to seek new ways of generating value in the face of stagnant or declining revenues. Smart companies (small, medium and large) are discovering that their supply chain processes can generate some of the value that they seek.
In mid-2008, Nedia Consulting launched three procurement services: procurement process evaluation, procurement process documentation, and procurement support.
- Procurement process evaluation: Our evaluation service specifically examines purchasing, sourcing, vendor management and contract management processes to identify areas for improvement and cost savings. We also look for disparities between documented processes and the realities confronting our clients' procurement staff. Clients exit this process with actionable recommendations that contribute to the bottom line(s) of their procurement organizations and their overall companies. When desired, we also work with clients to implement these recommendations.
- Procurement process documentation: Our documentation service focuses on clearly communicating the purchasing, sourcing, vendor management and contract management policies & procedures that our clients employ. This entails revamping existing documents and/or creating new ones from scratch. Whether it requires process maps, job aids or detailed step-by-step procedures, our goal is to create resources that are accurate, easy to understand and easy to use.
- Procurement support: We undertake procurement projects for clients by combining our expertise with the internal policies and procedures of our clients. This service typically entails working with internal stakeholders and our clients' procurement staff to plan, execute, and measure projects involving the acquisition of goods and/or services. Our familiarity with public and non-public procurement methods enables us to execute creative and efficient courses of action.
